Accelerometer Testing
Accident reconstructions are based on known or measured values (such as gravity, vehicle weight, and measured skid mark length) and estimated values (coefficient of friction, impact elasticity, and vehicle speeds). AEA lessens the estimated values and increases the accuracy of our reconstructions by performing more measurements.

AEA uses a Vericom computer to obtain precise measurements of vehicle performance. The Vericom provides us with valuable acceleration and braking data. We can usually perform the vehicle performance tests on the same vehicle make and model as the vehicle involved in the reconstruction. Depending on the nature and the time elapsed since the accident, it is often possible for us to test the exact same vehicle on the same pavement that the accident occurred. This data is a better representation of a vehicle's performance than estimated values.
