Accident reconstruction is of interest to industry, insurance companies and the legal profession.  The types of reconstructions that AEA performs include automobile accidents, equipment failures, industrial accidents, falls, and large and small structure failures.   Independent analysis of an accident based on physical data and scientific principles bring a high degree of accuracy to the reconstruction process.

Site Investigation

The backbone of the reconstruction process is the site investigation.  The site is surveyed, measured and photographed to strict tolerances.  In the case of an automobile accident, the vehicles are measured to determine the extent of the damage.  This information also proves helpful in the analysis of the accident.

Analysis and Report Preparation

The information acquired in the site investigation and police reports is used in consort with scientific principles and computer software to provide an accurate representation of the accident.   The reconstruction analysis is based on the laws of physics.  The scientific principles applicable to the accident are then implemented into mathematical models.

After the analysis, the findings are presented in a professional report which includes:

Displays

To aid in the presentation of a reconstruction, we can provide high resolution digital enhancement of photographs, large poster-size picture enlargement, and 3D animation on VHS or DVD.   See the Computer Graphics section of this site for more information.
